Our History
The story of KTKS is one of sustained industrial growth — from a single production facility established in 1970 to the integrated, multi-site group it is today, shaped by targeted investment and deepening specialisation across each business line.
Our History
1970: Kireç ve Tuğla Kimya Sanayi A.Ş. was founded with the objective of producing domestic solutions to Turkey's industrial mineral requirements. From the outset, a quality-driven production philosophy and strategic plant location close to raw material sources were established as core operating principles.
1996: In response to rapidly growing demand for micronized calcite, the Erciyes Mikron facility was established. One of the first modern GCC production plants in Turkey, Erciyes Mikron played a critical role in reducing the import dependency of the PVC profile and plastics sectors.
1997: Emek Mozaik commenced operations in Niğde, the region home to Turkey's highest-purity calcite reserves. Producing raw calcite, granule calcite and mosaic products, the facility began supplying strategic raw materials to the paint and construction chemicals sectors.
2008: Polical Compound was established to meet the growing compound requirements of the plastics industry. In the same year, Emek Mozaik was formally integrated into the KTKS Group, further strengthening the Group's vertically integrated production structure.
2008 to Present: Sustained investment in technology, automation infrastructure and research and development across all four facilities has enabled a broadening of the product portfololio and diversification into new export markets. National and international quality certifications, including ISO 9001:2015 are actively maintained across all production sties.
